Minutes Like Ours (MLO)

Minutes Like Ours, Also known as MLO, is a fun loving foot tapping party starting piano rock quintet from Westchester, NY. Matt Maher, lead singer and pianist, was a talented division 1 baseball player that always had a soft side with his thought provoking lyrics and incredibly catchy piano melodies.  He is the lead vocalist and plays the piano.

 After winning his high school talent show with an original song, one that is actually on our current album, “Leaving Shadows”, Matt decided music was a passion and a high he can't get from anything else.  He continued writing his lyrics down and composing his own pieces, but finding his perfect band was the last piece of the puzzle.  Matt went on to find just that:  Tom Simmons (Bass), Pat O’Gara (Drums) Devon Simmons (Backup vocals & guitar).  

Together, these four gentlemen have wholeheartedly immersed themselves in Minutes Like Ours.  “These songs are not only the story of my life, but the story of all of our lives,” says songwriter Matt Maher.  “We grew up together, experienced so much, and were friends through all of it.  The spectrum of the songs is so varied. I wrote one of the songs five years ago, and one I wrote just a few months ago.  My biggest inspiration growing up was trying to find artists and albums that felt “honest and real."  We did exactly that with our Album, “Leaving Shadows”, and I couldn’t be happier."
